Terms and Conditions
By completing and submitting an electronic order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase goods. If accepted by us, this will result in a binding contract. These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be resolved in the United Kingdom courts.
We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use from time to time. If this happens, we will post the new Terms of Use on the Website. It is your responsibility to ensure you regularly check these Terms of Use to familiarise yourself with their terms and check any updates. If you do not wish to be governed by the revised Terms of Use, please stop using the Website.
“We” and “us” means Vera McCullough Jewellery.
“Website” means the website at 'www.veramcculloughjewellery.com'
“You” and “Your” means the person using the Website whether as a guest or as a registered user.
“Bespoke Jewellery” means any item of jewellery that is created by us in accordance with your specifications. This includes but is not limited to items with customised design, metals, stones or engravings.
All copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in all materials or content contained in the Website are owned or licensed by us (unless otherwise specified) or are the property of third parties offering goods for sale or posting details through this Website.
Except as specifically authorised below, you may not do any of the following without obtaining our prior written consent:
a. copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, download, display, post, transmit, commercially exploit or create derivative works of any part of the Website. This prohibition applies, but is not limited, to the text, graphics, animations, photographs, pictures, data, images, audio and video clips available from the Website;
b. download, edit, reproduce or use any material and content contained within the Website for the purpose of advertising, promoting, endorsing or implying any connection with you or any third party;
c. utilise any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering/extraction tools to extract (whether once or many times) for re-utilisation, any substantial parts of the Website; or
d. create and/or publish your own database that features substantial parts of this Website (including without limitation prices and product listings).
All orders for Vera McCullough Jewellery will be dispatched within 3 to 4 working days, provided the order is accepted, available, and does not include a “Bespoke Jewellery” item. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery of “Bespoke Jewellery” items. For delivery to the UK, orders are dispatched via Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery, a secure, next-day delivery service requiring a signature upon receipt. For delivery to Europe, orders are dispatched via Royal Mail Internationally Signed For Delivery, requiring a signature on arrival. Please allow 5 to 9 working days for delivery. For delivery to the Rest of the World, orders are dispatched via Royal Mail Internationally Signed For Delivery, requiring a signature on arrival. Please allow 20 working days for delivery. Any applicable taxes or duties in the destination country are to be paid by the consumer. The delivery cost for this service is £10. Some products may be made especially for you and will be identified with a 4-week delivery estimate when you place your order. Once the order is ready for dispatch, delivery will be achieved using the same methods stated above. If a product is out of stock, we will contact you to confirm a new delivery schedule or offer a full refund. If we have not delivered the order within 30 working days of submitting your order or any other agreed date, you may cancel the contract, and we will refund any money paid by you. We will make every effort to deliver your goods in accordance with the timescales listed. We will not be liable for delays due to reasons outside of our control. Please allow a minimum of 10 working days for any single delivery.
Prices are regularly checked. If there's a price change or error when we receive your order, we'll contact you to confirm if you wish to proceed at the correct price. Payments must be made at the time of ordering. Our website financial transactions are handled by payment service providers. Provide personal information only after reviewing their privacy policies. We'll share information with payment providers only as necessary for processing payments. If we can't accept your order, we'll refund any money paid. Orders are dispatched only after full payment is received. We may not accept your order if: a. goods are out of stock or damaged; b. payment isn't authorised; c. there's a pricing or detail error on our website. We'll contact you promptly to discuss options. We reserve the right to refuse any order.
Consumers can cancel the contract (except for personalised or non-returnable products) and receive a refund by emailing veramccullough@googlemail.com within seven working days after delivery. Return items at your cost and risk within seven working days from notification. Postage charges are non-refundable. For bespoke items, the right to cancel or return is revoked. Returns, refunds, credits, or exchanges are at our discretion. Bespoke pieces bought online (excluding resizing) can be returned/exchanged within 14 days of receipt. Products are accepted for credit/exchange if returned in saleable condition within 30 days of delivery with the delivery note. Return postage for sizing issues is the customer's responsibility. Resizing after shipping incurs charges. To be eligible for a refund, products must be unworn and show no signs of wear. Non-bespoke online pieces must be returned within 28 days of receipt, and bespoke online pieces within 14 days. Resizing is free if requested before shipping. Resized products to your specifications cannot be returned or exchanged. Refunds for PayPal payments will be re-credited to your PayPal account. Refunds are made within 30 working days of order cancellation confirmation or receipt of returned products.
To book a consultation or repair service, select your service, choose a time slot, and provide the required details on our website. Pay a non-refundable £25 deposit to secure your consultation, which will be deducted from the total price if an order is placed. You'll receive an email confirmation once your booking is submitted and the deposit is accepted. For rescheduling, contact us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance; otherwise, the deposit is forfeited. Refunds are not provided for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your consultation. Ensure booking details are accurate. For redesign consultations, bring relevant materials or pieces. All services are subject to availability. We may modify or reschedule appointments as necessary and will notify you of changes. While we strive for excellent service, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service. To book a jewellery-making workshop, select your package, choose a time slot, and provide the required details on our website. Pay the full amount to secure your place. You'll receive an email confirmation once your booking is submitted and payment is accepted. For cancellations or rescheduling, contact us at least 1 week in advance for a full refund/rescheduling or 48 hours in advance for a 90% refund/rescheduling. Rescheduling is subject to availability. If you fail to attend without notice, your payment is forfeited. Ensure booking details, especially food and allergy requirements, are accurate. For shared experiences, at least 4 people are needed. We may modify or reschedule appointments as necessary and will notify you of changes. Your personal information is used solely for booking and providing services. Gift cards are non-refundable and therefore, all sales of gift cards are final.
Gift cards expire 6 months after the date of purchase and must therefore be used within those 6 months in order to be accepted as a form of payment.
